Anna Laabs
Guided Studies Director
With a strong foundation in faith and a lifelong love of learning, Anna Laabs has dedicated her career to nurturing young minds and fostering a supportive educational environment. Growing up in Clintonville, Wisconsin, she developed a deep appreciation for family, community, and the power of education.
After earning her Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from UW-Oshkosh, Anna gained valuable experience working with students of all ages and abilities. Her time as a lifeguard, swimming instructor, and line-therapist for children with autism ignited her passion for special education.
Anna honed her teaching skills through student teaching assignments at Fremont Elementary and Readfield Elementary. She subsequently taught special education at Hortonville Middle School for five years, where she also led summer school programs and provided private tutoring.
In addition to her classroom experience, Anna has a strong commitment to family and community. She and her husband reside in New London, where they are raising three children who attend Emanuel. Together, they enjoy hiking, reading, and exploring new adventures.
Mrs. Laabs believes in the transformative power of education and is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. Inspired by Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you peace, not disaster, plans to give you hope and a future.”, she approaches her work with a sense of purpose and optimism.
