Men of the Outdoors

The Men of the Outdoors is a group tailored for men who are enthusiastic about outdoor activities. It is not an organization or club, and there are no regular meetings or membership fees. Instead, we organize outdoor events and seek to spread the Good News of the Gospel. Our mission and vision statements serve as our guiding principles.
Our Aim
We want to bring together men who share a love for the outdoors through hosting outdoor-related events, while also sharing the Word of God and demonstrating Christian love to everyone. By participating in outdoor activities, men have the opportunity to bond over shared interests and share their experiences. Additionally, hearing the Word of God at these events helps men to grow spiritually. We strive to create an environment that fosters fellowship, idea-sharing, and open conversation about our outdoor pursuits.

Adventure Awaits: Men of the Outdoors Return to the Boundary Waters in 2025

The Men of the Outdoors are gearing up for another unforgettable journey into the heart of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA). Following the success of this year’s trip, we're excited to announce our 2025 expedition, scheduled for July 28th to August 3rd. This week-long adventure, open to men 18 and older, promises a unique blend of fellowship, faith, and the thrill of the wilderness.
This year, we'll be launching from East Bearskin Lake entry point #64, offering a fresh perspective on this breathtaking natural sanctuary. Whether you're a seasoned outdoorsman or new to the BWCA, this trip is designed to provide a meaningful experience for all. We invite both members and non-members of Emanuel Lutheran Church to join us as we explore the pristine lakes and forests of this iconic wilderness.
Imagine days spent paddling crystal-clear waters, casting lines for trophy fish, and immersing yourself in the stunning scenery. Evenings will be dedicated to camaraderie around the campfire, sharing stories, and reflecting on the beauty of God’s creation. This is more than just a canoe trip; it's an opportunity to disconnect from the distractions of daily life and reconnect with nature and each other.
Join us as we embark on this adventure, forging lasting bonds and creating memories that will endure long after we return. The BWCA is calling – will you answer? Stay tuned for more details on registration and preparation.
